OK so game 3's tonight. Its Friday the 13th. I think both Indiana and Dallas will win there Game 3's. If i had to put a percentage on it i'd say, Dallas is a 70% chance to win and Indiana about 40%. I think Indiana will pull the upset but i also know Detroit will be pissed tonight. I think Dallas will win cause of Pheonix missing Joe Johnson. There not that deep. I think it may effect them against another run and gun team. Plus Dallas is playing a little defense now.

I'd like Indiana over the Spurs in the finals. If not Indiana then the Suns.

Also, to kick a dead horse some more...I have been one of the few people to at least acknowledge that the Lakers had a just reason in deciding to keep Kobe instead of Shaq, and I think this playoff series really shows why. When you have a guy that big, getting older, he is bound to get some injuries. It's no fault of his own, but I am just pointing out that this is what the Lakers feared when they had the decision to keep Shaq.

That being said, in another thread I said that Shaq was smart by telling the declining Lakers he wanted out and going to a young team on the verge of greatness. Everybody scoffed, acting as if the Heat would be out of the playoffs without Shaq, but I believe after last night my theory is dead on. Without Shaq, the Heat are a great team this year, but with Shaq they are a title contender. Basically, Shaq is a lot smarter and more realistic then Kobe, and you are an idiot if you don't think that Shaq knew how good the Heat were going to be before he accepted the trade there.

I'm sorry Detroit , but your the defending champions of the NBA. Your facing a team without one of the best players in the league and Jermaine O'Neal only scoring 8 pts and fouling out early. Your getting beat and outplayed most of the game. Being down 18 pts at one point and you hang your loss on a push off by Reggie Miller? What a joke. You were down by 3 pts when Miller even took the shot and Lindsey Hunter barely got touched with that chicken wing . Yet he went down like he was shot in the face. You hang the loss on a push off. Wasn't last night game 3?

Also, it looked more like a flop then a charge last night, besides the leg thing it looked legit. I'm kinda pissed that Artest can't be in there, because they would be awesome.

Regarding Detroit, I don't think they should have all these expectations. They won the NBA title last year, but there is no doubt that they weren't the best team in the league. I remember specifically the talk going into the playoffs, The Pacers couldn't defend the Spurs/Lakers/Wolves big men in the finals and the Pistons couldn't score enough to win against one of those teams. Then this year they were the exact same team as they were last year, solid all around but by no means the best in the league. I look at them as more of a good team that got it all together in the playoffs rather then the best team in the league that should be expected to win every game.

Remember last year when Detroit's playoff run was over after the triple-overtime loss to New Jersey? What happened after that?

All it takes is one bit of adversity (whether it's losing a marathon or getting denied a chance to tie), and this team bounces back. They just needed a fire lit under their ass, and last night was what they needed. This series doesn't make it to game seven. Detroit won't lose again.

Until they play Miami. Then they'll lose two or three games.

Miami without Shaq is just a good team, but if those two meet you have to give Detroit the edge just because of their package of big men. Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, and Antonio McDyess are just too dominant compared to Alonzo and Haslem, and I don't think Wade and the Jones' can overpower the Detroit back court. With Shaq back its another story, but it sounds like this is an injury that doesn't just go away.

Pacers played like little girls today. It was pathetic. Jeff Fost should have been in there for O'Neal. O'Neal was horrible and after that performance he defenetly should not be considered even a top 10 player in the league. That was pathetic. Open shots missed left and right. Dominated on the boards. I dont know wtf Tinsley is doing out there trying to drive Ben Wallace to the basket. Thats just plain retarded. No one is setting screens for Miller. Jackson has about 5 moments per game where he just plain forgets how to play basketball. No one on the bench gave us anything. Pistons had there shit together and beat the piss out of us. We will most likely lose this series now. That was the " Golden Oppurtunity " and we fucking blew it.
