I dont know if you guys noticed but i riipped the shit out of my team already for that performance. Atleast i'm man enough to do that much. And wtf are you guys talking about . One Sided? Nevermind the loss. Cuase the Pacers got there ass kicked and i've said as much in the post before my Wallace rant. I'm sick of people talking about his " Guarantee's". He plays for the defending nba champions, with the best starting lineup in the league. Probably the best coach in the league. Best starting backcourt forsure. So who the fuck cares if he guarantees Game 4. Wow ! Here's a idea. Guarantee something that actually matters. Like maybe the series victory. Last time i checked. Champs shouldnt have to make guarantee's. |

Sorry dudes. I love my teams. I fight for my teams. I am a homer, but i'll be the first to rip my teams when its needed also.
Jermaine O'neal should have been benched in the 3rd qrt. The guy has bee godawful. 23% shooting in the last 2 games. My god. |

Yeah, only about two more games.
![]() Seriously, though, RP rips me for saying the Pistons are going to win three in a row, then all of a sudden that's what's "supposed" to happen? Pick a side, dude. |

I think Detroit is a bit overrated, and like I said above, them winning the NBA Finals last year didn't make them the best team in the league, it just made them the winners of the playoffs.

Isn't that what the playoffs are for? To determine the best team in the league?
By that logic, what's the point of even having the playoffs? Why not have a poll like they do in college football, and let a panel of "experts" decide which is the best team? Or just base it on regular-season win totals (despite the unbalanced schedules). Winning the playoffs means you're the best team in the league. If you can beat four different top-tier teams four times, with each of them getting multiple games in which to play/scout you, you're the best in the league. I hate to say it, but the Lakers were the best team until last year. Then the Pistons became the best. Until someone eliminates the Pistons, they remain the best team in the NBA, won-loss records and public opinion be damned. |

IMO the playoffs determine the league champions, but that isn't neccessarily the best team in the league. You can look at the term "best" in many different lights, but for me the playoffs simply determine the champions.
The reason I say that, and in a situation like this, maybe 1 of 1000 people would have thought the Pistons even had a chance last year, and it would have been like that whether they were playing the Lakers, Spurs, Wolves, and probably even the Kings or Mavs. Most people even considered them the second best team in the East. Not trying to take anything away from them, but at the same time I think people are giving them too high of expectations, like because they won the title last season they should automatically be the top team this year and should dominate everybody. I dunno, does that make sense to anybody? Its just that when an underdog wins the whole thing I don't think they should have all the expectations that the favorite would. |

The consensus was that Detroit was either gunna sweep or just lose 1. I ripped you because of the fact that we went up 2-1 and you said that. Almost as if you just dismissed our 2 wins. The Pistons are very capable of winning the next 2 games. Quote:
Indiana is the poster child for adversity. To dispute you claim that Detroit wont lose again. Indiana is 4-2 on the road this year in the playoffs. There 3-1 in the last 4 games played in Detroit. ( Including a Bomb Threat called in on the second game) They arent a pushover team. I think its gunna go 7 for sure and Game 7 might be a toss up. |

Let me ask you this Loop. Giving the circumstances reguarding Indiana's season and Detroit being the defending champions. Should this series even be 2-2?

No. And that's definitely something we agree on. Detroit is playing way below the level they're capable of, and Indiana is (or was in games 2 and 3) playing way above the level they should be playing at, considering what they've been through.
The fact that the Pacers even made the playoffs, despite injuries, suspensions, and everything else is one of the more impressive feats I've seen in a long time. So, yeah, by all accounts, this series should not be tied at 2-2. Although, for that matter, neither should either of the Western series. That's the beauty of the NBA Playoffs. If you don't play to your potential, you're not going to breeze through, no matter how great your team is. Detroit is going to have to play their asses off for the rest of this series and throughout any others they get to. And after the way they played Game 4, I stick by my earlier assertion that they win this series in 6. I think that Games 2 and 3 showed them how much they'd been slacking, and I don't think we'll see that again. These players are too talented, and Larry Brown is too good of a coach to allow that to happen. (And, for the record, I didn't neg rep you before because I disagreed with you. I welcome disagreement, as long as your points are well made [as they have been in your last few posts] Rather, I did it because I thought the "beating Detroit 4 times, including once in the stands" joke was in poor taste, and not even a little bit funny. I just hope the courts don't take it easy on those assholes when the season's over.) |

I feel the need to join in on the laughin especially after hearing what Jackson had to say after the game. But, I'm really hoping the Pacers can go back to Indie and take the next game forcing the series to 7 inorder to give the Heat some more recovery time....

I don't care how much everyone hates the Pacers and the Pistons. What Larry Brown did was absolute class. that showed how much Reggie has done for the NBA over the years. Congratulations to the Pistons. Rectal Pertruder, hell of a series man. I am glad to say that the Pistons had to go through the Pacers to win this series and advance to the Eastern Finals. Hell of a series, friend.

That was one of the coolest sports moments of the last...I don't know how long.
The fact that the OPPOSING COACH thought enough of Reggie Miller to call a time out for his curtain call so that both teams could give him a standing ovation along with the crowd, was one of the classiest things I've ever seen. Reggie is one of the greatest shooters the game has ever seen (and, probably, will ever see) and he will be missed. And now it's time for the series that everyone has been clamoring for...pretty much all season. Pistons/Heat is going to be hot (if Shaq can walk). |
