What is a good baseball game to get?
Because I haven't played one and I do not own a single one. And I don't want ot go out there and wade through crap games in order to get to a good one. I may quit before I get to it. So this is just to see what the baseball gamers out there would suggest as the best out there.

so far the suggestion that was tossed to me was MLB 2005

I've heard good things so far. Nintendo hasn't missed with a Mario sports game yet, and I don't think they will with this one. I kinda wish you had more freedom as far as team management goes, but I'm sure the gameplay will more than make up for that.
