I dont think its humility honestly. Working along side people in recovery... its been really jarring. The mountain theyre trying to climb...i had it easy. Id honestly find it egotistical to lump myself with them. Those who are really putting in the work...well they deserve a lot more credit than they get or have gotten here in this thread even.

Its a situation of their own making, im not trying to paint them as saints or absolve them in any way, but its just so incredibly difficult to course correct after youve truly become addicted. Its a total loss of free will.

Just my take though.
