Hogan = Cena?

I was just thinking... Hogan is who really shot pro wrestling into the limelight. Vince gave Hogan a gimmick which was a sign of the times that any big charismatic guy could do. Vince shoved him down his fan's throats and everyone loved him.

I think that Vince is actually trying to do the same with Cena. He's giving Cena a gimmick that is the sign of the times that anyone with a decent amount of charisma can pull off and shoving him down our throats. I don't care if Cena is "living his gimmick" (or gimmicking his life), anyone who can rap and has charisma can pull off his gimmick.

The difference is that Cena is failing at getting over huge. He had them for a while but it started to drop off, and recently it's taken a sharp turn for the worse.

I just had this thought and thought I'd rant it. I just think that Vince is trying to recreate what he had with Hogan but can't do it. This could also work with comparing Austin to Cena. It's a new era but Cena is bombing.
