Ok. Here goes... someone tell me what these are and how to use them. I previously used bittorrent to download some Family Guy but in all honestly, I didn't know exactly what I was doing.

I would be very grateful if you gods of internet technology could guide me through a simple step-by-step process. I'm not all that much of a moron so it wouldn't require explicit detail, but just a helping hand.
