The "Reminisce about old cartoons/shows you loved when you where younger" thread.
Just thought I'd get a little conversation going about old shows you loved as a kid or teen or whatever.Bring back memories etc.
I have too many to say in one post but I loved Count Duckula ![]() I was only 7 months old when it began so I guess I watched it since I was able to watch tv.Maybe 1 or 2 years old. I dunno. Anyway I loved that show, I remember watching it all the time. It was about a vampire duck that was a vegaterian with a fear of blood, voiced by David Jason. The show had a line of toys, books, comics, videogame, pyjamas etc. lol it made a change for the 1000's of cartoons from America that where all Scooby Doo clones (Scooby Doo,Jabberjaw, Josie and the Pussycat,Captain Caveman etc) Knightmare ![]() ![]() Yeah Knightmare ruled. It was basically a gameshow for kids/teenagers that would play in groups of four.Three of them stayed in the "Dungeon" with Treguard the Dungeon Master and Pikle the Pixie (or "Pikle the pain in the ass" to me.He bugged me!) and the other kid would wear this big helmet that covered there face so they couldn't see where they where going. The helmet was important because the Dungeon was actually computer generated using blue screens. The only things that where real where the people they met (like jesters, villagers, maids, bad guys) , the items they collected and the main dungeon room where the other kids sat and watched and gave there friend directions. You could even die if you didn't collect food every once in a while. Think of the videogame, Zelda but with the main character being blinded by a helmet and being guided around the dungeon. The show even had puzzles, riddles and side quests to complete (on top of the main quest which could be saving a princess or retreiving some sword or chalice) and bad guys to defeat and everything. It was origonal and very clever, espeacially for a kids show.It had the usual books and a videogame or two. America got ther own version but it completely nose dived.Wish they'd make another series because in my opinion no gameshow for kids or adults comes close to Knightmare.Thats just two of mine but anyone got any old shows they loved?
