I feel so ripped off (Sims 2)

So I went to Gamestation and got Sims 2 for the PS2, I actually wanted the PC version but my PC isn't powerful enough. Anyway I saw it and thought "Well I'll just buy the PS2 version since its the same game anyway" then I got the game home and put it in the console and played for a while and after being impressed by the ability to custom meals, take direct control of sims etc, I wanted to have babies and grow old. I got a female sim, married her and slept with her like a hundred of times and she never got pregnant.
Then today my PC was fixed so I went to Gamefaqs and find out I can't have kids or grow old in the PS2 version!

The only reason I wanted the game isn't in it! Why did they take it out? I mean the child thing can be done on PS2 since it would be just the same as the Random Sim Generator that you have in Create-A-Sim.

Anyway I dunno if I should take it back and get another game or not.If I do, any recomendations? I enjoy any game thats not sports (Madden,F1,Fifa etc.) and I have PS2 and GC so games for either systems is good.

And anyone else felt ripped off after buying a game? I have a few other times but thats another story.
