Did Fonzie burn a bridge at WWE?

It seems like this would be the perfect time to bring Fonzie back, now that RVD is carrying around the MITB briefcase. I know on ONS, in RVD's promo he say's: "If they'd have listened to me Fonzie, you'd have had a job along time ago."

Does anyone know any info? It's possible that WWE just isn't interested, but I'd love to see him back.
