I didn't think so. I mean, growing up in Minnesota, when I was a kid I went to Twins, Vikings, Gophers, Wolves, and Wild games and our local news covered Twins, Vikings, Gophers, Wolves, Wild, and Packers. It wouldn't really make sense for me to be big fans of other teams, would it?
Well for some reason people just can't get over that I thought Doug Mientkiewicz and Corey Koskie were better fielders than John Olerud and Eric Chavez. I still stand by my opinion there, and anyone who strongly thinks otherwise hasn't seen the two play enough to have a legitimate opinion. I thought I cleared this up a while ago, but I still get shit in the most random posts from the most random people about it. The people who give me the most shit are the people who are the most biased for their teams themselves. Yash, The Miz, Loose Cannon, CNM, and some other guy who made a comment followed by [\yash, wadding, etc] How desperate can you get? Since the initial incident, I havent acted like a "mark," and on numerous occasions have pointed out weaknesses in my favorite teams and pointed out teams that are better. I have never said that the Twins are a better team than the Yankees or the Red Sox, but people talk shit to me like I have. I stand strong that at least one of those guys should have won a Gold Glove, that Kevin Garnett should win MVP this year, and that the T-Wolves have a very good chance at winning the whole NBA. I do not think the Twins are going to win 100 games this season, I do not think the Wild are going to make it to the Stanley Cup semi-finals again, I do not think that Latrell Sprewell should have been an all-star. Not only that, if you looked in a recent thread asking what teams we were fans of, I said that I was a Miami Dolphins, Ottawa Senators, and New York Mets fan, along with being fans of most of my hometown teams. I just find it hypocritical that guys who are bandwagon fans of winning teams 1,000 miles from their houses are talking shit to me. I now speak totally rationally about my teams and don't insult other people for having passionate opinions about their teams. So in conclusion, I would appreciate it if you posters who find it neccessary to stereotype me would actually read into my posts and understand my opinions before taking old and boring cheapshots at me for liking the teams I grew up with.
