Sunday, July 23,2006 - The Great American Bash Thread

WWE presents The Great American Bash live on PPV on Sunday July 23 at 8 PM EST. This event will be broadcast live from the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. If you do not have PPV capability, you can order the show on WWE.com or watch it at a WWE Blast Area!

~CARD~

World Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio (c) vs King Booker
King Booker earned this title shot by winning a battle royal on the 7/7 edition of SmackDown! As always, he will be accompanied to the ring by his wife, Queen Sharmell.


Open Challenge
Batista vs Ken Kennedy
This match is Batista's first singles televised singles match since suffering an injury in January. He was originally schedule to face Mark Henry but Mark suffered a leg injury at Saturday Night's Main Event that will require him to miss several months of action. Kennedy answered Batista's open challenge for this match.

United State Championship
Finlay (c) vs William Regal
Finlay and Regal are both members of King Booker's royal family. The match was originally scheduled as a triple threat match with Lashley but just days before the show he was not granted medical clearance to wrestle due to an enzyme problem in his liver.


Punjambi Prison Match
The Undertaker vs The Great Kahli
Two months ago, The Great Kahli did something no man has been able to do to The Undertaker in 15 years, he beat him with ease. The rules of the match have not been explained.

WWE Tag Team Championship
PLBK Mask Co. (Paul London/Brian Kendrick) (c) vs The Pitbulls (Kid Kash/Jamie Knoble)
This is the first title match between the two teams. On a recent edition of SmackDown!, Jamie Knoble pinned London in a singles match.


Gregory Helms (c) vs Mystery Opponent
Gregory Helms has recently reached a milestone for being the longest reigning cruiserweight champion. His opponent for the show has not been announced yet.


Fatal 4-Way Bra & Panties Match
Ashley vs Kristal vs Jillian vs Michelle McCool
A competitor is eliminated when they are stripped down to their bra and panties. The last Diva remaining is the winner. Jillian and Ashley are the fan favorites while Michelle and Kristal are the heels. Ashley was the winner of last year's Diva Search competition while Kristal and Michelle are both former Diva search losers.
