Another reason I like SmackDown! better than RAW
Let's take a look at the probable cards for the upcoming brand-specific PPVs"
Unforgiven TLC Match for the WWE Championship Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. John Cena Singles Match Randy Orton vs. Carlito Waste of Time DX vs. The McMahons Singles Match Umaga vs. Kane Loser Leaves Town Match for the WWE Women's Championship Lita vs. Trish Stratus World Tag Team Championship The Spirit Squad vs. The Highlanders No Mercy World Heavyweight Championship King Booker vs. Batista Gimmick Match Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio WWE United States Championship Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. KC James & Idol Stevens vs. The Pit Bulls Grudge Match Ken Kennedy vs. Matt Hardy WWE Cruiserweight Championship Gregory Helms vs. Jimmy Wayne Yang Singles Match Vito vs. Montell Vontavious Porter SmackDown! is so much more defined than RAW. Granted, I don't watch RAW anymore, so I may have missed a few little details in there, and I've taken some liberties, using reasoning to deduce a debuting cruiserweight will get a shot at the Cruiserweight Title, but you can see where I'm coming from. No Mercy is like five shows away, Unforgiven three, yet SmackDown! still has the most felt out card, with even more matches easily able to take place. It is hard to see much else taking place on RAW, and they'll probably just throw guys together in matches, like Johnny Nitro and Ric Flair. My real point here is the build-up. Providing SmackDown! takes steady steps to developing its feud, and doesn't blow its load with these matches on SmackDown!, it could be a pretty sweet PPV with stories attached to every match. RAW is not likely to get that treatment. They may as well start building to Cyber Sunday. |
