Next gen American Football games ro run 30fps faster on 360 than PS3

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/02/1u...ster-than-ps3/

Reffering to EAs Madden 2008, NCAA 2008 and 2ks All-Pro Football 2008. Wether they'll use it for smoother animation or faster gameplay is unclear at this point.

It's weird though, there's no questioning that the PS3 is slightly more powerful, so why the difference? The article above claims that it's familiarity with the hardware and less complex hardware on the 360. But this quote from EA made me think something else:

"every company making a football game this year made a decision that the best experience for the Xbox 360 included 60fps whereas the best experience for the PS3 was 30fps."

I'm thinking that the 360 version will run at 720p, but be upscaled to 1080p as most XBox games are, where the PS3 will run in "true" 1080p with the trade-off of half the frames.

Has this info swayed anyone that owns both consoles? For me, I was going to go with the 360 one anyways. Rumble, XBox Live and now 30 extra FPS probably makes it the slightly better deal in my eyes.
