I dont see this as a swerve. Umagas getting great ovations at arenas and a Umaga/Carlito I-C title match at SS seems possible because Carlitos opp Lashley got hurt and Umagas opp Jackass crew pulled out and then it was supposed to be Hardy but he got suspended.
