The Waking Hour
So I'm bored and listening to random shit in my iTunes library, and the Waking Hour came on. The track "Jade" is fucking incredible. The band's kind of Queen meets the Beach Boys meets Fountains of Wayne. I know that's a kind of weird combination to mention, but they're kind of more modern pop rock with a lot of throwback elements to the kind of pop you'd hear with rich harmonies, complex layers, etc. There's some heavy guitar on the record, but, it's mostly hooky pop/rock.

Very sweet.
