MLB 2008 Season Thread

Yeah I'm all for instant replay, adding it mid-season is weird but the sooner the better I think. Obviously they'll use it for home run calls, but anything else? Close plays at the plate could make for challenges too...just as long as they don't go overboard with it. Wonder if it'll work like the NFL where each team gets a set number of challenges, could add a little more strategy.

Definitely liked what I saw out of the Mets tonight, like a total 180 from the week of games previous...hopefully they can keep it up. Maybe Willie's job officially being on the line helped them out.

Mets acquire Trot Nixon for either cash or a PTBNL.

I've always liked Nixon, seems like a good hard-nosed player. Guess I'll be seeing his Mets debut tomorrow.
