Gene Wilder is awesome.
They've got Young Frankenstein on cable right now, which I normally wouldn't watch since I have on DVD. But I'm bored.
Anyway, pretty much everyone in this movie rules. They have a tremendous cast. But Gene Wilder is pretty consistently grat, and that's what I was thinkig of: Froedrick Fronkensteen, but also Jim (The Waco Kid), Leo Bloom, Willy Wonka, even as Richard Prior's straight man in "See No Evil, Hear No Evil." I've seen him in a few other things, too, but that's the short list that came to mind. I love the guy. Post your praise for him here. “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |
