Mentality

I went to spend 2 weeks of my valuable vacation with my cousins in Fullerton. I am preety much a music freak and I am into every genre of music. This cousin of mine who is an ABCD ( American Born Confused Dezi ) was kinda pissed off when he found John Mayer, Bryan Adams and Metallica to be a part of a huge pile of music files on my Walkman phone. I am not very well versed with the American way of doing things and hence I asked him if something was wrong. He told me " Meet you listen to Rock?! " and I replied affirmatively. He told me that Rock was a white guy's thing and he told the same about wrestling and I was like dude WTF?! So now I need to listen to something which doesn't have rock... I mean around 80% of the Bollywood Soundtracks, Indipop and Sub Continental music has major elements of Rock. I told him that my interest in Rock and Pop culture grew after I learned Indian classical guitar. He lifted his eyebrow and said " Meet you are from India and you are supposed to play the sitar " and I was like .
