Should Every Game Have Co-Op?

So my nephew brought his PS3 up during his visit and he had Infamous. Now Infamous does little to interest me, but moving around in the game using the nonsensical powers available... I couldn't help but think, "This would be so much more fun if I was playing with someone."

I thought about it further and came to the conclusion that there is no situation where co-op (offline or online) would 'hurt' a game. If anything it can only serve to help a game. And playing Infamous (and checking out Prototype), I can't help but think at least split-screen co-op would be fucking awesome. It would have to be something ultra traditional like RPG/JRPG/Tactics/Survival Horror games where an extra guy wouldn't make much sense.

I can totally see 2plyr in DMC (or any action game, let's see how Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma works out). It would be awesome trekking through Far Cry 2's Africa with a traveling buddy, scouting out camps and making getaways together. Even a fighting game with a tag mechanic should have an option where two players are on one side going through arcade mode (Capcom Vs.?).

If there's anything Halo, Fable 2, RE5, Gears, SC Chaos Theory, and Perfect Dark-fucking-One taught us - it's just about any adventure is worth taking a friend along. And even if you prefer playing alone in some games, an option would be appreciative.

So yeah, I would have liked co-op in Infamous and Prototype. That is all.
