Ubisoft DRM Servers Go Down

Ubisoft’s DRM authentication has been a huge concern since their announcement and now one of those issues have derived. It turns out, Assassin’s Creed 2 players are unable to connect at around 3am EST and yet, the issue still has not been fixed.

The DRM as we all know, requires PC gamers to be connected to the Ubisoft servers at all times while playing. It already can be a bit troublesome for a player to be constantly connected, but when its an issue Ubisoft, it is an even bigger embarrassment.

According to a rep from the Assassin’s Creed 2 forum, they stated the servers were constantly monitored.

“I don’t have any clear information on what the issue is … but clearly the extended downtime and lengthy login issues are unacceptable, particularly as I’ve been told these servers are constantly monitored,” said ‘Ubi.Vigil’, adding, “I’ll do what I can to get more information on what the issue is here first thing tomorrow and push for a resolution and assurance this won’t happen in the future.”

It’s an issue that we’ve all foreseen but never did we expect this so soon. Angry Europeans are slowly filling up the Assassin’s Creed 2 forums and we can easily anticipate this issue will derive again. So, how many of you guys were planning to purchase Assassin’s Creed 2 on the PC but changed your mind because of the DRM?
