Q/A: Film/Game Rentals by Mail
Yeah, I know. Should be two seperate threads for this, too bad. :foc:
Here's my problem. The Blockbuster video I do/did my business has closed up due to bankruptcy. Got all my games and movies there and it was in walking distance. Perfect. Now it's gone, and I'm not driving 2 towns over just to rent. I got a couple redbox machines in town but they don't cough up blu-ray, "off the radar" films, and not enough TV. So, my fellow TPWWers, I turn to you for help. Netflix pretty much runs the show in terms of movie rentals. Hell, along with Redbox, they pretty much ended the reign on Blockbuster and Hollywood video. I did a little research and they got about 100 distribution centers and you get your movies in 1 business day. This true? Also, how's the selection? Can you get blu-ray, foreign, TV, and limited screened movies, too? Now I know there's Gamefly. Judging from what I've read off here, it's first come, first serve when it comes to new releases. And since they only got 4 distribution centers in the country, it's gonna take a little longer to get games. I also notice that the prices tend to change by the month. Once commercial starts a $9.99 a month, next month its $8.99, then back to $9.99 the next. I'm wondering if it's worth it just to sign up, but I gotta wait awhile for the game I want on my list arrives like a month after release. Alright. So who subscribes to what? How's your service and experience? Should I go to *insert company name/website here*? Any help would be much appreciated. |
