I'm with those who says that a cancellation of Impact means TNA would die. If people aren't watching for free, a return to weekly PPV's isn't logical.
Its too bad going to Mondays didn't really work out for them. I, like many of you, had high hopes. I haven't seen much of Impact since I bowl on Monday nights, but based on feedback and reports, it seems to me that this show has been somewhat a train wreck. Heard last week was a pretty darn good show, and this week was awful. This is only based on what I've read. Anyway, so many of you have great ideas on who should be head booker. How Dixie should give up any and all creative control she might have. How certain writers should be hired/fired. How JR and Heyman should come in. How new and current TNA original stars need to be pushed. I am with you guys. But even if all this stuff happened, I don't see Impact ever getting half the ratings WWE gets. Ever. Not in a month, not in a year, not ever. Impact will never get a 2.0 rating. What is going to be a "good" rating for their return to Thursdays? 1.3? 1.4? I'd love to see TNA go live every week, do some of the things you posters have said... but even then, there is nothing they can do to compete with WWE. Just put on your best show, get your ratings up to 1.8, we don't necessarily need competition with WWE, just be the other option. Good luck TNA, you need it. |
