Is the PG era starting to loosen up a bit?
On Raw, Edge stated that he was the Rated R Superstar and he was going to do whatever he wanted, even though everything is supposed to be PG now. Now, it's not like anything was actually done in his segment that wasn't PG, but this is the first time I remember them actually mentioning their limitations on air. Couple that with WWE commenting that maybe they could do more to draw in non-prime demographic fans (or something thereabouts) at the shareholder's meeting, and I think they may start pushing the envelope just a bit more.
Both Smackdown and Raw were great after the draft, and I see some potential for some more greatness in the near future. Do you think Edge's comment was ushering in a new 'edge', so to speak? Or do you think he was just saying that because his nickname is rating related? |
