DISCUSSION - Some Thoughts about Benoit, HBK, Val Venis, Christian, and Too Cool

DISCUSSION - Some Thoughts about Benoit HBK, Val Venis, Christian, and Too Cool

Chris Benoit Once Benoit drops the World title, is it possible for him to go BACK to Smackdown? Think about it - Benoit won the Royal Rumble, and came to Raw to CHALLENGE Raw's World title holder. Even though this loophole exists, is says NOTHING about a wrestler being allowed to permanently defect. Benoit was only allowed on Raw due to him being #1 contender, and then Raw champion. Should the WWE bring something like this up? (I know it sounds 'lame', but it also serves as a pretext in bringing Benoit back to Smackdown.......a time when Smackdown needs some of its former top talent back).

Shawn Michaels: Is anyone else besides me excited over the idea of Shawn Michaels turning heel? According to reports on the newsboard, there might be a heel turn for HBK tommorrow night (or somewhere in the not-so-distant future). Personally - I LOVE the thought of it. HBK is one of my favorite heels of all-time. Furthermore - HBK, as a heel, can feud against the likes of Jericho, Benoit, Matt Hardy, Edge, and Shelton Benjamin. Shawn Michaels has everything needed to be a TOP heel obviously (talent, mic skills, etc.). If Bret Hart is slated to come back, a confrontation with HBK of sorts would be cool as well. A part of me still wants to see HBK and Triple H be 'business partners' as heels (i.e. they don't like each other, but they work together......to keep the title between them).

Val Venis: From what I read, Val Venis won the IC title from Randy Orton on Heat. I didn't realize it was still 1999 (i.e. Val getting a significant victory, titles changing on Heat. ). Here's what I'd do with Val Venis.

Let him go by his REAL name.........SEAN MORELY. Val Ve....er Morely comes to the ring tommorow night (or the week after), and cuts a promo on his wrestling career......and how he's always been a "gimmick" (i.e. porn gimmick, RTC gimmick, T&A gimmick, Chief Morely, etc.). Finally - Morely just wants to be himself.....and wants to focus on his wrestling career and getting ahead.

Morely is a decent wrestler and has decent mic skills. I'm pretty sure that these things combined, can help Morely stay over......especially if he gets key victories. If a guy like Shelton Benjamin is getting over by just being 'himself', then why can't Morely? Obviously - Morely can do some stuff to keep the fans interested in him.

Christian: How would Christian look in Evolution? Assuming Triple H leaves and Orton takes over, how would Christian look there?

-Randy Orton
-Ric Flair
-Christian
-Dave Batista

Christian can then basically have a similar role as Orton did within the past year (i.e. play second fiddle to the leader, but still have significant matches and score significant victories). With Christian in Evolution, a guy like Jericho is automatically at odds with the stable..........and ditto for a guy like Edge...whose history with Christian would be brought up.

Too Cool: Assuming that the WWE sends GMS to Smackdown, I wouldn't mind seeing "Too Cool" (with Rikishi) being heels. It may not work, but I'd be willing to give it a try. As faces, Too Cool hasn't been popular since 2000. Think of Too Cool as heels. Think it could work? Too Cool could be a heel tag team, while Rikishi becomes a heel mid-card wrestler. A turn could be refreshing for their VERY dead characters.
