Cardiac Data

So today at the wee old age of 6 months, my 360 hard drive decided to crash. Microsoft, like the lovely multibillion dollar conglomerate they are, refuses to help recover my data, claiming that its gone for good. This after them selling me a defective product thats still under warranty. Especially irks me because I'm 100% positive that you can recover data from a crashed hard drive.

So, before I decide if I want to pull the trigger on sending it to a data recovery company (and drop hundreds of dollars in the process), I'm trying a trick:

Evidently read. freezing the damn thing works, give it a read

Use this thread to (a) receive helpful information if you ever have a hard drive crash, (b) join in my bitching and share stories about lost data or (c) tell me how damn sorry you feel for me

I'll let ya know if it works.

(Life being ironic, I clicked the back button when writing the post, and had to rewrite the whole goddamn thing. Not my day)

"Man was matter, that was Snowden's secret. Drop him out a window and he'll fall. Set fire to him and he'll burn. Bury him and he'll rot, like other kinds of garbage. The spirit gone, man is garbage." - Joseph Heller, Catch 22

"When each day is the same as the next, it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises" - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
