Godzilla: Save The Earth

Confirmed List:

Biollante - One of the most popular Heisei creations, and rumored to be in the game since its "Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters 2" days, Biollante was one of the first to be confirmed.

Destoroyah - An early confirmation in the days coming up to the annual E3 show, Destoroyah is said to be featured in one of the 'Action mode' levels, where he will be awakened from the sea.

Ebirah - An addition out of "left field", Ebirah appears to be the first kaiju in the game who will likely serve a exclusive "non-playable" role, like Hedorah and Mothra in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. The giant crustacean appears in the underwater levels of "Action mode."

Gigan - One of Godzilla's most popular villains. Gigan was immensely popular in the first, and was one of the first kaiju announced for the game; consequently, he was also one of the first announced for its sequel: Godzilla: Save the Earth.

Godzilla (Heisei) - Probably the most popular incarnation of Godzilla. The Heisei Godzilla will return for the sequel, Godzilla: Save the Earth, once again under than name Godzilla 90's.

Godzilla (G2K) - Although not as popular as his Showa and Heisei counterparts, he does have the advantage of being in the most recent Godzilla film brought to theaters in the states. Hopefully his rage attack will be changed to the "finisher" which he used to kill Orga at the end of Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999).

Jet Jaguar - The first true surprise, it would appear that rights over the character have been resolved with Tsuburaya.

King Ghidorah - Another early confirmation, its likely that King Ghidorah will once again be a hybrid mix of several incarnations of King Ghidorah, like in the first game.

Kiryu (Mechagodzilla 3) - A none too surprising addition to the cast, as he appeared in both the Japanese version of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee for the Gamecube and the Xbox port.

Kiryu - is rumored to have his move-list completely revamped, although early reports are saying otherwise.

Mechagodzilla (Heisei) - Featured prominently in adverts for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Mechagodzilla's, from the Heisei series, inclusion in the sequel isn't very surprising, especially if the rumors of a revamped move list for Kiryu pan out.

Mecha-King Ghidorah - Although not confirmed by name, pictures of him in Godzilla: Save the Earth have appeared though. Hopefully, the character will get his move-list reworked to separate him from simply being a King Ghidorah clone.

Megaguirus - Having her film, Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000), being recently released in the US made her inclusion in Godzilla: Save the Earth none too surprising.

Megalon - A cult favorite, who appears to have struck a cord with the higher ups at Atari/Pipeworks with his starting role in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee and Godzilla: Domination. Megalon's inclusion comes as no surprise.

M.O.G.U.E.R.A. - Confirmed by Gamespot, during their early E3 report, M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is reported to hold a key role in one of the rail type shooter stages found in the level, as he will blast obstacles on his way to Earth.

Mothra - A early confirmation, and expected considering the amount of heat the first game received from reviewers concerning her absence. It's unknown right now what version of Mothra will appear in the game.

SpaceGodzilla - A kaiju with a more than modest cult following, and rumored to be in the game since its "Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters 2" days, SpaceGodzilla another one of the kaiju who was first to be confirmed. In Godzilla: Save the Earth, SpaceGodzilla will be able to float around the battle field, create crystals in the ground, and lift buildings with telekinesis.

Likely Inclusions:

Angilas - A huge fan favorite. Considering his popularity within the fandom one would be hard pressed to imagine him not showing up for the sequel.
Probability: 99%

Orga - With his appearance in Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999), which was released in US theaters, and his appearance in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee as the "Super" Secret Character; his chances of reappearing in the sequel are very good.
Probability: 99%

Rodan (Heisei) - One of Toho's most famous creations, with his appearance in the first, and the Heisei incarnation's benefit of working well in the game, his reappearance in the sequel is all but confirmed.
Probability: 99%

Hedorah - His inclusion as a background character in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee proves that he is very much on the mind of the developers. Hopefully he will make the big leap and become a playable character.
Probability: 70%

Baragon (Millennium) - With his latest movie, Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack, becoming such a hit with the fans, Baragon's chances to appear in the sequel are great. It's highly likely, if he is including, that Baragon will have his heat ray, which was absent from the Millennium incarnation.

Quick, name the most popular movie monster of all time. Chances are, you said, “Godzilla!” without even thinking. Sure, King Kong may have hit the silver screen first, but Godzilla has had the staying power to be featured in numerous movies, cartoons, toys, and videogames since his creation back in 1954. With 2004 being Godzilla’s 50th birthday, what better way to honor the big, green, radioactive monster than with a new action-packed videogame? Building on the solid foundation left by the fairly successful Gamecube and Xbox release, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Atari will be giving fans a little more of everything in the sequel, Godzilla: Save the Earth. Destroy All Monsters Melee was primarily a four-player fighting game with monsters from Godzilla movies of past. Save the Earth will have a total of nine different game modes, ranging from the traditional Melee and Versus modes, to challenging mini-games. This time, developer Pipeworks is adding not only a deep single-player mode (termed Action Mode), but online play via Xbox Live as well which will allow 4 players to battle it out to see who really is the King of Monsters. The Action Mode is the core of the game and plays out in an Onimusha-like fashion in which the story helps to set up the battles that you’ll encounter as Godzilla. Roughly twelve levels will make up the Action mode with locations like Tokyo, Los Angeles, and New York. Sticking close to the traditional Godzilla movie plot, Save the Earth will focus on the battle between Godzilla and the Vortaak. The plot has been fully approved by Toho, which holds all license rights to Godzilla. This means that Save the Earth will play just like an over-the-top, anime-style Japanese film.
