High Speed Internet for Gaming & Streaming...

I'm not the most tech savvy person, so I need advice from you guys. I'm moving and to save money on expenses I've decided against getting cable and instead have chosen to get a Roku player and high speed internet.

As of right now, I've been able to stream and play online with no noticeable problems with download speeds of 1.39 mbps and upload speeds of .92 mbps (whatever the hell that means). Apparently those are midgrade DSL numbers. Comcast (the only provider of high speed in my area since I refuse to go with AT&T) offers a package that provides 15 mbps upload and 3 mbps download speeds.

For those of you who have higher speed internet packages, is the difference that noticeable in the quality and enjoyment of your gaming, streaming and porn downloading?
