I'm not saying you're doing this, so don't take it the wrong way. My problem though is people who act like someone doesn't "get" or "know how to play" a certain fighter just because they don't like it. Street Fighter 4 for example. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but I don't enjoy it. My enjoyment level has little to do with how good I am at the game, or how much I practice. I'm just not a fan of it, it's not a game I enjoy. I have little doubt that I could practice more and get better, but getting better isn't going to make me enjoy the game more. Furthermore, it seems like a waste of my time to use what little time I do have to practice at a game I don't enjoy. On the other hand, I enjoy the new MK a lot more. Practicing at it is more entertaining to me, and feels like a better use of my time. So for me, it's not whether I "get" the game, it's whether I enjoy it. Sadly, people take themselves too seriously and assume that the two are related, which I find insanely obnoxious. |
