valtrex commercials

ya gotta love these comercials. valtrex is some kinda drug for suppressive therapy of genital herpes. in the commercials, the person taking valtrex is always shown with his/her girlfriend/boyfriend. so it begs the question: does their girlfriend boyfreind know that they have genital herpes? does the girlfriend/boyfriend have herpes as well?

would you get romanticly involved with someone whom you know to have herpes?
