85. KENTA

I have seen roughly 10 matches of his and I am amazed by how entertaining he is in the ring. Out of the 10 matches I’ve seen I’ve 10 great matches. That is not hyperbole every match I saw of his was great. I’ve seen bad Bret Hart matches, I’ve seen bad Ric Flair matches and I’ve seen bad Shawn Michaels matches but I have yet to see a bad KENTA match. To be fair though I’ve seen a whole lot more Hart, Flair and HBK matches.

There is a lot I don’t know about KENTA. I’ve never heard him cut a promo. I’ve never seen any of his matches in NOAH. And I don’t know why is name is always spelled with all capitals. Regardless of my lack of knowledge of this particular wrestler I’m still thoroughly impressed with his performance. Despite never being a full time member of the ROH roster he’s been in like 3 of their top 5 matches.

Favorite Moment:
Doing a double stop from the top rope onto the injured shoulder of Nigel McGuinness who was prone lying on the guard rail.

Favorite Match:
Bryan Danielson [c] v. KENTA (for the ROH World Championship, ROH Glory by Honor V – Night 2)
