Not a new thing to discuss, but...

Isn't it time for a new WWE Championship belt already? I mean, we've had this design for over six years now -- that's a longer lifespan than many other titles in professional wrestling. It doesn't fit Cena's character anymore, and with all these reading programs and that shit the WWE likes to participate in -- wouldn't having a title that actually spelled out "Champion" in full be appropriate?

I think post-Money in the Bank would have been a perfect time to introduce a new WWE Title belt (with Punk having the old design). I get that they wanted to go with Punk and Cena holding up matching belts; but couldn't they have had two different belts represent the same ideal for a little bit?

Anyway -- call it: Will we see a new WWE Championship within the next calendar year?
