Brand split

What’s going on? We have guys from SmackDown appearing on RAW every week, challenging for an opportunity at the WWE Championship. I can’t tell if certain people are on which brand. Daniel Bryan, for instance, is he on RAW now that he’s challenging for the WWE title? If he isn’t, he’s still on SmackDown, and they haven’t moved him, but they moved Alberto Del Rio to SmackDown so that he could challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, which is obviously showing that the brand split is still exsistant, but they also kept Mark Henry on SmackDown after challenging Punk for the WWE title three weeks in a row, indicating it isn’t. I’m legit confused.
