Oh well, hockey's over for another season, hopefully to return in the fall but that's doubtful. It was a good run for the Bolts, winning the East then taking on Islanders, The Canadiens ( who really didn't put up much of a fight - :foc: ), Philly and the Flames. All on the support of Brad Richards, Martin St.Louis (damn, he's short) and Vinny Lecavalier....
And what about them Flames? They were off and on all season, placed in the middle of the pack and then started to take down division leaders Vancouver, Detroit and the Sharks. Iggy and the boys were hurtin' going into the final and tonight, as much as they tried to win it - fell on their faces with a few stupid penalties and only a last minute rush to try to bring this game seven into overtime. Alas, once again, they choked.
As a Canadian, I was saddened to see an American team (loaded with Canuck talent, may I add) win the Cup once again and we're left out of the celebration. Just the long flight home, hopefully to 17th Ave where the party's been.
As an Albertan, I am smiling a little devilish smile tonight as the rivals to my Oilers didn't get the job done and it may take a while before they get to do it again. See you Flames in the 2019 Stanley Cup finals
But, alas, from a financial perspective, on the verge of winning a hockey pool - it took one goal to ruin a lil extra money for me. Sigh, I knew that was too good to be true :foc:

Yeah, I bet everyone across Canada who went crazy buying Flames jersey are burning them right now. I was smart and picked up an Oilers one and the '77 Team Canada one.
