PS3 service question
Okay, so my PS3 died a while back. I think it's the PSU. I did the best I could without breaking any seals in case. Which isn't much.
Here's the thing, though. My Ps3 was pulled out of my apartment after the fire last year, and was soaked in water for a couple days before I got to it. Clearly, that didn't directly kill it, but still, God knows what the insides look like. So, does anyone have any experience with Sony support? Is there any shot they won't catch this? Kinda doubting it. If I turn it in, will they keep the 129 dollar fee if they won't service the thing? Also important, anyone have any experience getting a disc out of a PS3? It died with a brand new disc in it, and google results usually involve "send it in to Sony." Are there decent third party services that might handle it if Sony won't? ![]() --John Rogers |
