Man gets shot in eye, more upset Punk lost title

From PWInsider:

ABC affiliate WSYR featured a story on their newscast last night about a local man, 77 year old Thomas Dotterer, who was shot last week in the eye during the robbery of a liquor store he owns in Syracuse, NY.

Dotterer, who likely will lose his vision, was already back to work a week later. During an interview with the station, he noted that losing his eye wasn't the thing that upset him the most last week - it was The Rock defeating CM Punk for the WWE title.

The anchor covering the story noted during the broadcast that he sent messages to Punk and Rock via Twitter and Punk wrote back asking if the story was true and that he "needed to see the footage". They then passed the video footage link to Punk, who responded, "Tom Dotterer is amazing. He's got my respect. If he needs anything from me let me know."

The Rock has not yet responded.
