Do you think Brock Lesnar is the ultimate throwback?
I think I'm going to write a blog or something about this at some point, feel free to contribute my mission.
BUT is this guy not the ultimate oldschool bad motherfucker who was a wrassler? He's the type of guy in the territories, who would "go into business for himself" if need be, and take care of his own shit. A Hansen... a Brody. Hell you could even compare him to Sid, because you know if Brock had a softball team, and he was passionate about it, the Beast Incarnate's appearances would be scarce during said time. (lolll sorry that is for the Squared Circle Gazette listeners) I personally enjoy that Brock can do what the fuck he wants outside of the ring, because it essentially means he almost has free reign when he performs, and it's part of the reason why when he performs it's a big fucking deal. As great as John Cena is, he is a company guy, and he's predictable. But Brock is NOT a company guy, but he has probably the same amount of clout as Cena, if not more. They NEED him. He'll draw doing what he wants. He leaves WWE, he just needs one more loss in the UFC to have him set for life. He has his own nest egg. Much the same as the Hansens and Brodies, Brock can throw tantrums and "leave the territory" because he'll be fresh somewhere else. He could smash the WWE title and mail it back to them, with a picture of himself giving the middle finger on top of the aforementioned destroyed belt and not have to worry about burning bridges. So he's a bit of a cunt when need be. And it's why he's fun, and it's part of why he gives us that bit of a tingly feeling when we get to see him... ....and I think that's what's missing from wrestling. Just the right amount of cunts.
