Crowd brawling wasn't something I had thought too much about but when I listened to the Attitude Era podcast all three panelists realized that they just didn't think crowd brawling added anything to the match. As I went back and watched some of them myself, I realized it really was just formulaic nonsense.

It's probably wonderful to be there in person but it does absolutely nothing for the crowd watching at home.
