Rick Rude

Does anyone think that Rick Rude is perhaps the most underrated wrestler in history?

The guy is barely mentioned in the greatest ever, but has had some amazing classic matches, a really good character, awesome at promos and just had a really impressive presence in the ring. I would personally place him with the greatest of legends in history, alongside Flair, Hart, HBK and etc, but it seems no one ever talks about Rick Rude.

If his career didn't get cut short by that debilitating injury and him passing early, I believe he should definitely have been a much much bigger name in wrestling than he is now.

His matches with Flair and Steamboat are among some of my wrestling favorites

It's a shame he wasn't really there during the attitude era or else I believe he would've really established himself as a name in wrestling rather than a footnote.

Anybody else feel Rick Rude didn't get his fair shake in history?
