Anytime the final donation is a flat clean number, either means someone pocketed a good chunk of the money or the real amount was lower and they needed a bigger number to look good on tv.
If I remember those Susan B shirts that WWE sells have a pretty messed up history. First year they sold the shirts, think it was either the entire purchase or a higher percentage got donated. Wasn't till well after the month ended that WWE realized how much money the charity pocketed for themselves. The following year, WWE cut the percentage donated and pocketed the difference since in their mind if someone was going to keep the extra money, it might as well be them. Think that might have also been when they started giving clean numbers for final donations and/or a cap on the amount. |
