Anyone not feeling the Dees (Nutz) repackage as D-Money?

So GWC has repackaged Dees again and he debuted his new character on the last show, D-Money. Dees did an outstanding job as usual because he just seeps charisma everywhere he goes and can make any dumb gimmick work, but I feel like these gimmicks are holding him down. Dees is great in the ring but hardly anyone can take him seriously when he wrestles as Dees Nutz or as D-Money.

I was hoping that GWC would repackage Dees with just a full name and no nonsense, serious gimmick so that the spotlight wouldn't be the dumb gimmick name but the no nonsense great wrestling action that this man puts on in the yard every time he steps in.

What do you guys think? Did GWC make a mistake again, repackaging Dees Nuts as D-Money, or is this something that could work? Where do you want to see Dees go next?
