WWE Home Video Rant #2...

now I haven't bought or seen WWE: The Monday Night War yet, and I'm not sure I want to.

It's because one thing that's kind of irked me about the WWE home videos that include WCW footage (with the exception of perhaps the recent Ric Flair, Mick Foley, and Chris Benoit DVDs)...is the reinforcement of the one thing that irks me about Vince McMahon and WWE period... the (subtle) trashing of WCW.

I liked the nWo: Back In Black DVD, until it got to one point... spending too much time on the WWE side of nWo (luckily it was made before they fired Scott Hall and the angle died) versus the WCW version.

Why was it on the HHH DVD that we were robbed of seeing how HHH went from Terra Ryzing to Jean-Paul Leveque (the gimmick with which he was paired with Regal)? That's a part of HHH's history that's really shadowed. (Basically, the character was HHH's orignal WWE character with a messed up French accent...)

...I haven't seen the Stone Cold Truth yet, but hopefully it was in the same vein as Benoit's DVD (which was really good).

Even though Vince may not have thought much of WCW, the fans might think otherwise. Is WWE that afraid that people might see old WCW matches and actually wish they hadn't missed out on them in the mid-90s?

WCW is history. WWE owns all that is WCW now...the videos, the PPV names, the non-production music, etc...isn't that good enough?

I like WWE, but damn if they don't annoy me sometimes with this petty crap.
