Controversy and unexpectedness will help the WWE.

Back in the day, you really didn't know what was going to happen when you tuned into RAW, but you knew it was going to be something cool. It was common to be watching RAW and spout out lines like "Holy shit, Austin has a beer truck!" - "Where the fuck did all that blood come from?" - "No way is Taker going to crucify that bitch... holy shit!" - "DX is so fucking great."

These days, nothing makes you jump up in your seat. RAW has become as predictable as a Harlem Globetrotters game. HHH promo - IC Title match - Evolution segment - Christian match with Tomko's interference - HBK match - Jericho segment - Tag title match or women's segment - HHH match or segment to end the show. It's predictable and rather boring.

I think the problem is the writers. They keep hiring god damn soap opera writers who don't know shit about wrestling, so they just do what Stephanie and her croonies ask them to do.
