Money In The Bank
When Chris Jericho announced this match, he called it "a chance of a lifetime". We all know the details: The man who wins will recieve a contract for a World Heavyweight Title match valid for 12 months from point of aquisition.
Now Eric Bischoff pointed out that it could be used the next night on RAW, or left until Wrestlemania XXII. What didn't he mention though? Apparently, he neglected to mention that a contract valid for 12 months would be valid immediately. So what would you do? You've just won the Ladder match and you've got a dilemma - either Trips or Batista will walk out of Wrestlemania with the World Title. We know for a fact that either of those men can beat any of the 6 ladder match participents on any given day. It's a hell of a mountain to climb. So...cheat. Here's what i can see easily happening (in a move to make damn sure people will tune in the first RAW post WM, which has been a problem for the past few years). Batista pins Triple H - RAW has a new champ. What happens? The Ladder match winner leaps into the ring and smacks him over the head with a chair and proceeds with a beatdown akin to Austin on Rock at WMX7. He then cashes the contract and has a three second match with Batista. Boom. We've got a new champion! And a true suprise for the first time in years. Plus everyone tuning in the next night. The guy to do it? Either Benoit (turning heel) or Edge. OK, so it won't happen, but it'd be cool, right? ![]() Raise your hand if you like Steroids!! |
