It's pretty obvious that one of these teams is going to make the playoffs now, but honestly the chances aren't that great for both of them to. Between Chicago, Minnesota, Texas, Anaheim, and Baltimore, I can't see both the Sox and Yanks getting in this year.
For me, I would rather see the Yankees get into the playoffs. I hate when people try to make Boston look like an underdog, they have the same image that the A's and Twins do, but you'd have to combine and double their payrolls to equal Boston. They are the Yankees but just won't admit it. At least the Yankees admit that they are the bad guys and are open about spending all that money. It wasn't bad until they won the World Series, because now they have nothing to say. They don't have a curse, they are just the Yankees with shaggy hair. I really don't understand how people can hate the Yankees so much but love the Red Sox (people not in Boston that is, if you were in Boston you damn well better like them). Remember, they were going to get A-Rod before the Yankees did, they brought on Manny and Pedro pretty much the same way that the Yankees brought on Giambi and Mussina. They are the same team. I just don't like how Boston is portrayed as underdogs. Dont Mess With Kids |
