He still loves the club and always will, Steve McManaman was treated like shit by the Liverpool fans after he signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid, but i bet he still loves the club. He's turned down �100,000 a week, which suggests he's not going for the money, he'd get more at Chelsea obviously but he'd take �100k a week if he was happy. I don't know whether these training ground stories are true or not, or maybe he just feels he's gone as far as he can with them.

If Real Madrid can afford him then i'd be surprised if he went anywhere else. I'd prefer him to go to Barcelona but Xavi's just as good and i doubt they can afford him. Real said they'd only make a move if he hands in a transfer request, and the next day he's as good as done that. As bad as it's been handled by Gerrard, i personally feel some Liverpool fans are going over the top in the criticisms, considering all he did at the club.
