As for the WWE not gaining anything by lying about the contract extension, you forget one thing.
SummerSlam had still not happened yet, and IF for some reason Jericho really WERE leaving for good, which I don't believe he is (at all), something like that would make the match John Cena vs. Chris Jericho more "unpredictable" again. Sure, WE still knew Cena was going over, but there may have been some duped into thinking Jericho had a chance after that was posted on wwe.com when previously, thinking Jericho was done with the WWE, that Cena winning was a foregone conclusion. That said, let me make it clear that I am NOT supporting the theory that Jericho is through with the WWE. |
