Are you serious? Your team is paying 50 million just to talk to a pitcher. Johan Santana is just as amazing, but Johan Santana didnt get to far this year. 50 million just to talk to a pitcher and hope that he signs, is probably the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Talk about horrible business men in the Red Sox organization. My god. I hope they dont sign him at all. I hope he fucks them over so i can laugh 10x more then i'm already laughing right now. 50 million just to negotiate with one player is the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

OK lemme rephrase that since no player is really worth that much money. It's all worth it if Matzusaka doesn't end up being shitty, cause the WBC is no guarantee since Japan lagues are only compared to AAA. But face it, professional baseball is full of horrible businessmen taking huge gambles on players by overpaying them (i.e. AJ Burnett, Adrian Beltre, A-Rod).
