I remember this. I read an article about him in WWF Magazine when he came in. Mr. Fuji was visiting one of the islands around Japan and he found Yoko as a terror to the local people, pushing over trees & beating people up

Fuji had to civilize him enough where he wouldn't just kill random people (BANZAIIII!!! *SPLAT*), then trained him in Sumo. I wish WWE still did origins like this.
