Removing Xvid from the registry
Basically looks like my codecs are very old and a new one isn't taking priority over the old one, i've read that it needs to be unistalled via the registry, any ideas?

Go to run, type in regedit, then just hit F3 and search for anything that says xvid and remove it, then install the latest XVid. That should do it. I doubt you'll break anything by doing that but it's probably best to make a system restore point before you poke around.
