I have no issues with Trips main eventing WrestleMania or even winning the gold. He hasn't had a run with the belt (not counting his two hour reign in October) in years.

Actually, and I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd still rather see Cena with the belt over Triple H. Then again, I'd rather see Hornswoggle with the belt than either of them.

Triple H in 2000-2001 form would be a great boost to WWE. I'm not saying he looks to be in any danger of regaining that kind of form, but it would be nice.

Thing is, even though it's been done, Triple H as top dog in 2008 is something different. Hard to imagine, say back in 2002, that one day a Triple H title run would be considered a change from the norm, but it would bring to an end Cena's rock solid grip on the belt. When Trips snares it, he ain't letting go of it again that easily.

If there's one thing you have to give Triple H credit for, it's his ability to consistantly reinvent his character.

Snotty blueblood, juvenile degenerate, wisecracking catchphrase spouter, underappreciated disgruntled corporate asskisser, oppressive power-crazed badass, edgy intense face, classy well-dressed high life loving businessman, tongue-in-cheek anti-authoritarian....

Triple H in the ring is what he is; a once tremendous performer now limited by injuries who can still churn out a great match with the right opponent (as evidenced in matches with Orton at No Mercy). However, who is to say that his next incarnation as a heel won't see another shift in direction for his character which could turn out to be his best yet?

I'd say it's worth the risk to embrace it, rather than put the gold back on Cena... unless Cena is in line for a heel turn, that is.

Come on! Of the gimmicks I listed above, at least four of those are startlingly different, and many of them met with success long before he had his cock up the Vincess.

History, backstory and logic go out the window at WWE's whim, but at least ole Trips makes an attempt to keep with the times, even if at the expense of character consistancy and the established facets of the WWE "universe".

I'd like to see heel cena and heel triple H form some kind of alliance against HBK trying to win it one last time. It hink the dynamics could be pretty interesting, in that sort of triangle for the belt. Throw Orton, Kennedy, and Hardy in there and you have an excellent main event scene.

Cena should be main eventing Mania, against Jeff Hardy.

Against HHH it's pointless, boring and old news. Same with just about anyone.

But Jeff's easily the most popular guy right now, and compliments Cena excellently in terms of star power.

Mania title matches used to be about the two biggest stars in the company facing, and it being fresh new and exciting.
This is what it should be.


It doesn't compare, but it's analagous to Hogan and Warrior by modern standards.

If Cena/Hardy occured at Mania I'd honestly just be happy with such a great choice for a main event and not get bent out of shape over the outcome.
I'd go into full well excpecting Cena to win, with the slim hope of a mark out.

From what I hear, is that Cena was brought back, so they wouldn't have to pay a huge liability insurance, against Shadow dying by drowning in his own jizz when Hardy was going to win.
